I am a Ph.D. candidate in Political Science at the University of Missouri in St. Louis with a subfield focus in American Politics and Government. My areas of expertise include political parties, campaigns and elections, social movements, elections administration, and survey methodology.
I began my doctoral program in 2014, after working for 15 years in political arenas with interest groups and issue-based campaigns. This professional experience informs both my research agenda and my teaching style. After working in politics for many years, I came to academia to better systematically explore the modern day puzzles and challenges facing democratic participation in the United States.
